THE SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH

The Search For The Truth is the family game where you step into the shoes of a New York Times journalist. In a staggering journey, you’ll investigate the world’s darkest alley’s, corrupt regimes, disasters and crime scenes in your search for the truth and give it to the people. Ask questions and seek perspectives, the truth is out there somewhere and it’s up to you to find it - no matter what it takes.

Because the truth is worth it.

Insight: It’s hard to appreciate the things we know nothing about. Like investigating journalism and the commitment it takes to get to the truth behind the story. Especially today when it’s just a simple click away for most of us.

Idea: The sales of board games is expected to rise from $3.2 billion to $8.2 billion in 2021. By making a family board game, anyone can become a New York Times journalist overnight and get a sense of the effort it takes to get to the true facts behind the story. At the same time, we create conversations at dining tables around the world about The New York Times being the truth-seeking news organization that helps them, the people, to understand the world.
